Just made a new soft fence in all the corners. I used flight case foam mounted to the track with Velcro.

Testing my newly chipped 911 on a small piece of plastic track and guess what? This one runs just as fast as all the others – backwards of cause!

Yes a new member of my slot.it family has arrived and it became a beautiful healthy Porsche 911 GT1 EVO 98.
New Solenoids testet!
The new solenoids are just as god as I could hope for. They use approximate 200 mA at 12 VDC and can be activated for over 30 minutes without meltdown 🙂 The old ones destroyed themselves after just 20 sekunds!
Normally the solenoids are activated way below 1 sekund, only when a car is deslotted before one of the two reset optical switches, it can be activated for a longer periode. I my world deslotting happens so… 🙂
New Slot.it’s
Brand new Slot.it’s with SP15b chip. Sadly I have to wait until spring to test them on my track 🙁
New Linear Solenoids
Just ordered some new linear solenoids. The one I have used so far, becomes to hot when active over 10 seconds. It can happen when a car is deslotted before one of the the two reset slotted optical switches are activated . They consume 1.100 mA! despite they are marked 800 mA at 12VDC, the new ones consume only 300 mA – i hope 🙂
Baby it’s cold outside!
Yes, it’s winter in Denmark now, the old horse wagon garage, where my track is located, is unheated and the track is therefore stocked away until spring. 🙁
I will, until then, chip my new Slot.it cars 🙂 and make some small adjustments on the track.
